At MHI, we believe a strong season starts with strong preparation. Before heading into the busiest part of the year, our team came together for a full training day focused on safety, skill development, equipment operation, and hands-on learning. This year’s training day was all about setting our crews up for success in the field while reinforcing the standards and professionalism that define our work.
Robotic Mowing Training
We started the season by diving into robotic mowing technology and best practices. As the industry continues to evolve, staying ahead with smart equipment and efficient mowing solutions helps us provide better results for our clients while improving productivity in the field. The team reviewed setup procedures, operational guidelines, troubleshooting, and proper maintenance to ensure confidence when using robotic mowing systems throughout the season.
Ventrac & Zero Turn Equipment Training
Hands-on equipment training was another major focus of the day. Crews spent time reviewing operation, maneuvering, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures for both Ventrac and zero turn mowers.
These sessions helped reinforce:
- Safe equipment handling
- Daily inspection procedures
- Proper mowing techniques
- Efficiency and productivity in the field
- Preventative maintenance practices
By investing time in training before the season begins, we help ensure smoother operations and safer job sites all year long.
Health & Safety First
Safety remains one of the most important parts of everything we do at MHI. During training day, we reviewed company health and safety procedures, job site awareness, communication practices, and emergency response expectations. These conversations are critical in helping every team member stay prepared and protected while working in a variety of environments and conditions.
Herbicide Procedures & Best Practices
Our crews also completed herbicide procedures training, reviewing proper handling, application techniques, storage requirements, and environmental responsibilities. This training ensures we continue delivering professional results while maintaining compliance, protecting surrounding landscapes, and prioritizing safety for both our team and our clients.
Chainsaw & Equipment Repair Training
Practical skills training included chainsaw operation and safety procedures, along with onsite equipment repair training. From routine troubleshooting to quick field repairs, these sessions help our crews minimize downtime and keep equipment running efficiently during the busy season. Hands-on demonstrations gave team members the opportunity to sharpen their skills and build confidence before heading into daily operations.
Ready for the Season Ahead
Training day is more than just preparation it’s an investment in our people, our safety culture, and the quality of service we provide every day. We’re proud of the commitment our team continues to show and excited to kick off another successful season together.
Here’s to a safe, productive, and successful year ahead at MHI.
